Megan Greenlee’s photography stems from an art background cultivated while growing up in Westport, CT. After graduating from Vanderbilt University, Megan moved to France to study photography at Parsons School of Design in Paris, where she also worked in fashion. She continued her studies at Parsons in New York City and worked in graphic design, children's book publishing, and stock photography for Getty Images. In 1999, Megan refined her studies in photography at The Brooks Institute of Photography in Santa Barbara, California. She excelled in artistic photography and her work has been exhibited in a variety of award-winning shows and galleries. Following extensive photographic work throughout Europe and Asia on travel documentaries, Megan returned to New York City in 2002 to launch her own business as a professional photographer focusing on weddings, special events, portraiture, and lifestyle.

Megan presents an alternative artistic sensibility to traditional wedding photography. Her work has been featured in such publications as the New York Times, the New York Post, the Knot, and on The Martha Stewart Show. Using a storytelling photographic approach, she creates an unobtrusive, photojournalistic, and candid portraiture style to photographing weddings and events. One of the few photographers still using true black and white and color film, Megan specializes in custom and fiber prints. In addition, she offers digital and on-line services, as well as custom-bound albums. Her work is distinguished by the use of various photographic formats, such as 35mm, medium, large, and alternative formats, which allow her clients to select from a range of unique styles and artistic photographic coverage.

Megan’s photo studio is located in Red Hook, Brooklyn, where she creates natural, witty, and warm-spirited portraiture. Location shoots may also be arranged.
